Because of the significant increase of yachting over the last years, SACOMAR has had the privilege to serve the most important Mega Yachts operating in the Mediterranean during their cruises. The relation with this type of yachts requires a high grade of professionalism, efficiency and discretion. The owners of the Agency take care personally of the relations with captains and/or ship-owners during their stay on the island of Elba . They offer services which require a 24 hour presence and availability, both assisting the captain in his ordinary nautical operations and satisfying the various requests coming from the guests of the yachts.

Pearls of Venus

The Arcipelago Toscano National Park is the largest marine park in Europe. It includes the seven main islands of the Archipelago, some minor islands and cliffs. Like real pearls in a necklace, the islands differ from one another. Each though preserves traces of its history, each is unique; their common bond is the beauty of their natural setting. Elba is the largest island of the Archipelago : its sea, its beaches, the green of the countryside, the tiny fortress towns, archaeological treasures, chestnut forests and more have survived over the centuries and continue to flourish. On the island of Elba one gets the feeling of “good goods in small parcels” since one can travel through so may different landscapes and attractions, often in contrast with each other: areas scorched by sun and wind alongside others luxuriant and green with life, sandy and pebbled beaches, rocky coastlines and sheer cliffs.

The Portoferraio Harbour(Darsena Medicea)

The touristic harbour of Portoferraio allows the mooring of ships up to 80 m. of length (even alongside). If the weather allows it is even possible to moore forwards units up to 90 meters .

For larger units are available the quays of the commercial harbour, just beside the touristic harbour normally reserved for cruise ships with a length up to 200 meters and a draft of 8 meters . The quays are equipped with supply of electricity and water, assistance during mooring.

Rules and Regulation

Important rules regulating the access of the harbour:

• Pleasure crafts must not hinder or obstruct manoeuvres or routes of ships entering and leaving the port as they always have precedence
• In the access canal situated in the W part of the gulf and shown on nautical maps, vessels leaving the port must keep lo the left.
• Prohibition of anchorage must be observed in the port area (W of the adjoining "Martello" Tower - The "Grotte" Point) anchorage is prohibited everywhere except in an area to the S.
• Arriving from W . to avoid the shallows of "Capo Blanco" about 1 mile WNN from the lighthouse, go N of the cardinal light buoy positioned there
• The area of sea between the Stella Fort Lighthouse Point - the "Scoglietto" and "Capo Bianco" Point is a biologically protected area. Prohibition of fishing must be observed.

The Marciana Marina Harbour

The little harbour has a sea-wall 330 metres long which shelters the port from high winds. Marciana Marina is an interesting departure point for the nearby island of Capraia (22 miles away) and for the coast of Capo Corso in Corsica ( 30 miles away).

The touristic harbour of Marciana Marina allows the mooring of ships up to 50 m. of length (even alongside).

The Porto Azzurro Harbour(New Marina)

The Porto Azzuro marina is located in Porto Azzurro, a pretty village in the east coast of Elba Island. We are glad to inform you that form the beginning of July 2011 a new seperyacht Marina is available in Porto Azzurro. The new Marina allow the mooring of yachts up to 60 meters in lenght with mooring lines. All guests who moor there will have access to very basic services, such as water and electricity. Its users may take advantage of its complete basic range of services.

THE AVIOSAIL TEAM

Stefano, Aviosail’s owner, is a yachtsman of great experience with a deep love for the sea. After successfully competing for several years, in 2005 he went on to become a technician for a charter company based on Elba. In 2007 he crossed the Atlantic Ocean aboard “Ipero”, a Baltic 83 yacht owned by his friend Flavio Scala, a former Agneta helmsman. Since 2009, he’s been the proprietor’s of Aviosail.

Alice, a Natural Science graduate, is always at Stefano’s side on board Aviosail boats both as a hostess and as an environmental hiking guide officially recognised by the Tuscany Region and the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. In addition to preparing excellent lunches, she will be able to introduce you to much more about Elba, the Tuscan Archipelago and the natural wonders of such places.

Diverse possibilità di imbarco , a Portoferraio, a San Vincenzo o Piombino (Salivoli). La partenza è solitamente la sera verso le 18, con rotta verso la destinazione stabilita (Elba, Capraia, Corsica, Giglio), navigazione a  vela o a motore in assenza di vento, e ancoraggio nella rada o porto scelti. La mattina successiva escursione sui sentieri più belli con panorami mozzafiato, di diversa durata, a seconda del livello di difficoltà scelti in anticipo, con partenza  ed arrivo in posti diversi, con la barca che vi attende al vostro arrivo. A richiesta c’è la possibilità di avere una esperta Guida Parco dell’Arcipelago Toscano, che vi accompagnerà e vi farà scoprire le bellezze naturali di questi luoghi.                                                

 A vostra disposizione ci saranno skypper ed hostess, che vi prepareranno colazioni, pranzi , cene, ed aperitivi. Menù vari ma con sughi rigorosamente di pesce fresco preparati a bordo, e se possibile appena pescato. La tariffa è full inclusive, e comprende qualsiasi cosa escluso eventuali soste nei porti diversi da Portoferraio.

Il pacchetto Vela e Kayak è dedicato a chi ama lo sport e il mare. Si parte da Portoferraio verso Capraria, con arrivo al Santuario dei Cetacei. Dopo qualche ora inizia l’esplorazione in kajak, per toccare, nei giorni successivi, la cala rossa, caratteristica punta meridionale dell’isola.

He is the owner of Aviosail and a very experienced sailor. He was born on the Island of Elba on 6/11/1960 and since he was a boy he proved to be very skilled in many sports, but sailing and the sea are his true passion. He began his journey on the island by participating in several winter championships. During this period he has the good fortune to meet the Shipowner Vincenzo Onorato, with whom he will train in the years to come. First, with the boat “Comte de Fiandre”, he won the Cointreau trophy at the Tigullio Winter Championships in 1989-1990, then he obtained other victories at the opening weeks of the Alassio regatta season. He becomes co-owner with the same Onorato of the boat “Ottone degli Ulivi” with which he took an excellent fifth place in the world class in 1990. He continues to obtain other important victories first aboard the Swan 46 “” Charlotte aybea “then with” Flamenco aybea “, participating in the winter championships of Punta Ala and the weeks of the mouths in Costa Smeralda. In 1996 he won the European championship Sardinia Cup with the role of trimmer on the Zzenzero boat. He then decides to switch to the vintage boats circuit, competing for 9 consecutive years aboard the “Agneta” boat owned by Avv. Giovanni Agnelli, before moving on to the “Samurai” boat of the Pavesi brothers. He trains with Giovanni Soldini in the waters of Elba aboard the trimaran “Telecom” and participates in the Match Race in France aboard the Jeanneau. In 2005 he starts working on the Island of Elba as a technician for a charter company; in 2007 he crosses the Atlantic Ocean on board or “Ipero”, a Baltic 83 “owned by his friend Flavio Scala, former helmsman of Agneta. Since 2009 he has been the owner of Aviosail with which he realizes weekly charters. His profound experience, his skill and professionalism are a guarantee for those who decide to rely on Aviosail and for those who want to know the world of sailing.

He was born on the Island of Elba on 12/14/1985 and has always had a great passion for the sea and for nature. At the age of 15, he had his first experience sailing around the Tuscan Archipelago and Corsica. He moved to Florence where he graduated in 2010 in “Natural Sciences” and in 2013 he also obtained the specialist degree in “Conservation and management of nature” with full marks. Participate in various scientific projects of cetacean sighting on a sailing boat in the Tuscan Archipelago. The great love for her island and for the sea brought her back to Portoferraio, where, since 2013, she has always been at Stefano’s side aboard the Aviosail boats as hostess and as an environmental excursion guide officially recognized by the Tuscany Region and the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. . In addition to preparing excellent lunches, he will be able to introduce you to much more about the Island of Elba, the Tuscan Archipelago and the natural wonders of these places.

APRIL, MAY, JUNE, SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER.

Various boarding options either from Portoferraio, San Vincenzo or Piombino (Salivoli). Departure is usually in the evening around 6 pm, then off en route towards our planned destination (Elba, Capraia, Corsica or Giglio) either by sailing or motor navigation in case of light wind, anchorage at the picked roadstead or port. The following morning, time for an excursion along the most beautiful trails with breathtaking views; choice of different length itineraries according to your preferred level of difficulty, setting off from one place and arriving to another where our boat will be waiting for you. On request, possibility of bringing along an expert Park Guide of the Tuscan Archipelago who will lead you to discover the natural beauty of such places.                                                

Both a skipper and a hostess will be on board at your service and take care of breakfast, lunch,  dinner and aperitifs. The food menu will be varied and include fresh fish sauces prepared on board using catch of the day whenever possible. Prices are all inclusive, and comprehend everything except stops in any port other than Portoferraio.

SEASON 2022

Sailing-kayaking.

Our sailing and Kayak package is designated for sports and sea lovers. Departure is from Portoferraio towards Capraia, sailing through the Cetacean Sanctuary. A few hours later, time for our first excursion by kayak, ride that in the following days will take us also to Cala Rossa (red cove), Capraia’s characteristic southern end.

You’ll also get to paddle in the crystalline waters of the Finocchiarola Islands natural reserve as well as be surrounded by the scents and colours of the Agriate Desert’s mediterranean scrub. Discover now more details of our kayak excursions around the Island of Elba.

La più grande delle isole dell’ Arcipelago Toscano , assieme alle altre isole dell’arcipelago (Pianosa, Capraia, Gorgona, Montecristo, Giglio e Giannutri) fa parte del Parco Nazionale dell’Arcipelago Toscano. Il giro dell’isola L’Elba (circa 50 miglia),  regala la sensazione di molte cose in una: le spiagge e le scogliere, il vento, la terra, i profumi, i sapori, i paesini arrampicati sui monti, le terrazze sul mare non sono che l’inizio di un’isola che non delude mai. 

Cose da vedere durante la vostra vacanza : Versante est, Versante ovest, Portoferraio e le spiagge.

Versante est:

• Villa Romana delle Grotte,  cantata da Ovidio, risale al I sec. a.C. e dalla sua posizione si può godere di un panorama meraviglioso sul golfo di Portoferraio.
• Il castello del Volterraio , la più antica fortificazione di tutta l’Isola d’Elba.
• Rio Marina,  il piccolo paese dove si può visitare il Museo Mineralogico e le famose miniere a cielo aperto.
• Il Porto Azzurro,  ideale per fare una sosta nella sua bella piazza affacciata sul mare, per godersi un aperitivo.

Versante ovest:

• Il Cotone , località più antica di tutto l’abitato, dove piccole casette colorate proteggono un porticciolo con gozzi e reti pronti per la pesca.
• Marciana , un bellissimo paese medievale arroccato sulle pendici del Capanne. Da qui si gode un panorama mozzafiato ed è possibile visitare alcuni interessanti siti naturalistici, storici e culturali come la Casa  del Parco, la Fortezza Pisana, il Museo Archeologico  e, in circa venti minuti di cammino, giungere all’emozionante  Santuario della Madonna del Monte .
• Fetovaia,  una delle spiagge più belle dell’Elba, dove acque caraibiche vi aspetteranno per un meritato tuffo.

Portoferraio e le spiagge:

• Centro storico di  Portoferraio,  un piccolo porticciolo con gozzi e reti di pesca.
• Villa Napoleonica dei Mulini.
• Forte Falcone,  da dove si gode un panorama mozzafiato sulla darsena medicea e sul tratto di mare che divide l’Elba dalla costa Toscana.
• Le spiagge:  spiaggia di sabbia de  La Biodola ,  graziosa spiaggetta di  Scaglieri, Le Ghiaie  con le sue acque cristalline o  Sansone , la spiaggia di fine ghiaia bianca. Una delle baie più affascinanti in zona è senz’altro  Marina di Campo  dove si trova la maggiore spiaggia dell’isola d’Elba per estenzione, con i suoi 1850 mt di sabbia bianca di origine granitica.

La splendida spiaggia di Margidore situata a sud dell’Isola d’Elba è la cornice del Margidore Yacht Club. Punto strategico riparato nel Golfo Stella Margidore è un piccolo paradiso che rimane tranquillo anche quando il resto dell’Isola è in pieno fermento. Il Club nasce nel 2003 grazie all’idea dell’armatore Mario Angelo Morosi, di creare un approdo decisivo di fronte al Residence Casa del Golfo. Oggi la tradizione viene portata avanti dal capitano  Vittorio Ugo Morosi e dal suo crew che tutti gli anni da maggio a settembre accolgono i loro ospiti da mattina a sera in questo angolo di Elba tutto da scoprire. Facile da raggiungere da ogni punto dell’Isola si trova nel Comune di Capoliveri accanto alla spiaggia di Lacona a 10 minuti d’auto da Portoferraio e Porto Azzurro. Il Club è dotato di un posteggio libero riservato ai clienti a circa 300 metri dalla spiaggia. Oppure su comunicazione vi è la possibilità di accedere al parcheggio privato a pagamento direttamente dietro al club. Tra i principali servizi che vengono offerti vi è il noleggio ombrelloni e lettini per poter trascorrere una giornata di relax sulla spiaggia oppure il noleggio imbarcazioni per godersi un escursione via mare con la famiglia o con gli amici.

Dalla  spiaggia di Margidore , situata in una zona nevralgica della costa meridionale dell’isola, è possibile partire per escursioni in barca e ammirare un paesaggio di particolare bellezza lungo tutta la costa tra Monte Calamita e Pomonte.

Navigando verso est è possibile andare alla scoperta della Costa dei Gabbiani : le isole Gemini di fronte alla spiaggia dell’Innamorata fino alle selvagge spiagge delle miniere di Capoliveri.

Procedendo invece verso ovest è possibile visitare la meravigliosa Grotta Azzurra (tra Cavoli e Colle Palombaia), e arrivare al Relitto di Pomonte.

Tutte le nostre barche e gommoni sono dotate di motori fuori bordo 40 cv accensione e trim elettrici e un tendalino parasole.
