The Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club was founded in 1977 and is located on a barrier island in St. Petersburg, Florida. The club has an 18-hole golf course designed by Mark Mahannah, Sr., and his team of golf architects. The course is simply coined “Isla del Sol” by islanders and members of the community.

The original architects of the golf course were Chip Powell, Mark Mahannah, Sr ., Charles Mahannah, Jr., and Robert Walker. Mark Mahannah, Sr., was a well-respected golf course architect who designed over 100 courses in his career. He was known for his creative use of water hazards and his ability to create courses that were both challenging and enjoyable to play.

The Isla Del Sol golf course is a par 72 course that plays to 6,307 yards from the back tees. The course has a slope of 130 and a USGA rating of 69.1. The Isla del Sol golf course is an exceptional 18 hole championship layout. Challenging fairways, beautiful bunkered greens, shimmering lakes and gardens enhance the beauty and heighten the challenge of the course.

Whether you are a serious or social player, beginning or advanced, you are sure to find a tennis program that is just right for you at Isla del Sol. The Tennis Center consists of nine lighted soft, Har-Tru courts, first class instruction, clinics, member events, round robins, mixed doubles, active singles and doubles competitions, and other events held throughout the year. Our new fitness center, located adjacent to the tennis courts features a large workout room with free weights, exercise machines, cardio-vascular equipment, treadmills and life cycle. Our Main Dining Room known as the Boca Ciega Room, is the showpiece of our clubhouse. A 180 panoramic view of Boca Ciega Bay showcases the waterfront in all directions. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house. This room comfortably seats around 250 people, so bringing your guests to one of our many events is welcome. Pro Shop as well.

For those interested in saving some money while growing your game, certain pros offer lesson series. By pre-paying for 5 lessons, you’ll receive the 6th lesson free!

Group Clinic

Group clinics are available to groups of 3 or more looking to improve their doubles game, or work on specific techniques. All clinics are set up directly through a pro.

Cardio Tennis

Cardio Tennis is a fast-paced session of drill and live ball play with an intense focus on improving fitness. Cardio classes are available on a class-by-class basis, or by purchasing a series with one of our pros. More information on our Cardio Tennis program is available here .

All Cardio Tennis sessions are 1.5 hours.

Individual – Member

Individual – non-member, member series, non-member series, ball machine memberships.

The ball machine is a member-only amenity, guests of the member may use the ball machine with the member present, at the time of rental. Guests must pay a $13 court fee.

Junior (12-18 years old)

Junior programs.

Our Courier’s Kids program offers classes designed for children ages 5 and up that help provide a fun introduction to the great sport of tennis. Classes are tailored to each age group and skill level. Pricing details for our junior program can be found here .

Racquet Stringing

Prices vary depending on string and membership, but generally range from about $24-$45.​

Costs include string and stringing.

If you wish to provide your own string, the cost of stringing will be $17.00 +tax ($15.00 +tax for members)

Our racquet stringing services are available to all players, with a variety of strings to choose from.
