A double sunpad with pop-up backrests sits out on the foredeck and is surrounded by intuitively placed grabrails for an additional sense of security. Yet this is not the only place where you can soak up the sun, as to stern there is a full-beam, teak-lined bathing platform with an aft-sofa floating above it. This aft-sofa connects to a transom sofa in the cockpit and features a double backrest that can be pushed down to turn this into one, full-length rear sunpad. Stepping into the plush cockpit for a bit of shelter you will find a U-shaped sofa in leather, integrated speakers throughout and a port-side wet-bar with a grill, a sink, solid countertops and a refrigerator. Ahead of this there is a raised chaise-longue ideal for leafing through your favorite novel, while to starboard there is a comfortable twin-seat facing the helm station. This modern dashboard has been lined in high-gloss timber and brushed fiberglass and boasts joystick handling, a high-speed compass, VHF radio, power-assisted steering, VesselView or EVC display screens, a multi-function screen of your choice, throttles and hydraulic trim-tab buttons.

A spacious lower-deck salon with hardwood floors, sparkling surfaces, horizontal strip glazing and two skylights welcomes guests with a side sofa, a dining table and an open galley with live-aboard appeal. The kitchen features a steel sink, a two-zone electric hob, a glass cabinet, a combination microwave and a large fridge-freezer unit. The standard lay-out on this yacht is for one master stateroom nestled up by the bow with a double bed and plenty of storage, with a U-shaped lounge and table to aft. In the twin stateroom model this aft-lounge is turned into a bunk berth for two. The main head on this level impresses with Venetian mosaic tiles, mirrored cabinets, granite-effect surfaces and an entirely enclosed shower stall.

An almost endless set of engines options can be picked to power the Cruisers 38 Express, with gas or diesel, stern-drive, outboard or pod-drive motors on the agenda. Pick 400HP Volvo Penta gasoline engines, a pair of Mercruiser 425HP 8.2 HOC inboards or Volvo Penta 550G IPS pod-drives, for example, and you will achieve top speeds of roughly 36 knots and smooth cruising speeds clocking in at 25 knots. Blessed with a category-B fiberglass hull that promotes both agility and stability, this is the ideal yacht for coastal cruising.
