For some of the most pristine waterfront views in town, head to Tide House, a second floor dining social with ample outdoor seating. This neighborhood favorite is serving up some of the best local seafood, all purchased directly from Florida fishermen. A great spot for families and groups, the menu features plenty of shareable or family style plates, like Ahi Poke Nachos, Smothered Freedom Fries, flatbreads, and a great selection of large salads for the table. Entrees range from burgers and sandwiches to seafood, steak, and pasta. End your meal on a high note with some Chocolate Chunk Cake or locally made Key Lime Pie.

Stuart Beach

Known for being one of the best beaches in Martin County, this local favorite has plenty to do for the whole family. It is conveniently located across from Elliot Museum and the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center–both worth visiting if you need a break from the sun. At the beach you’ll find everything you need for a great family day, including covered picnic areas, beach volleyball courts, basketball courts, showers, and restrooms. When it’s time to eat, you’re only steps away from the Seaside Cafe for a delicious selection of cold cocktails, bar bites, and full meals during breakfast and lunch hours.

Sailfish Sands Golf Course

This 18-hole championship golf course has a few surprises up its sleeves, including a reversible 9-hole course–the first of its kind in South Florida expertly designed by the famous golf course architect, John Sandford. The full-length grass driving range boasts top of the line technology used in the pros, and lights to keep you playing even after the sun goes down. In 2021, the range was named in the Golf Range Association’s Top 50 Range Awards and received the Environmental Excellence award from the American Society of Golf Course Architects in the same year.

Stuart Boathouse

The Stuart Boathouse is a favorite local spot featuring a nostalgic blend of history, culture, and world-class hospitality. Located an expertly restored early 20th century building that once served as the St. Lucie Hotel in the mid 1920s, the structure was physically moved to its current location, which boasts views in every direction of the stunning St. Lucie River. The restaurant self-identifies as “upscale dining at a great price,” with a menu spanning both land and sea– from soup and salad to sushi, flatbreads, fresh seafood, chicken, and steak.

Elliot Museum

The Elliott Museum is a treasure trove of temporary and permanent exhibits themed around a variety of historical subjects, including vintage cars, baseball, Americana, artwork, and much more. The museum was established in 1961 by Harmon Elliot to pay tribute to his father, Sterling Elliot, who was a prolific inventor, businessman and social activist. The senior Elliot was famously hailed a genius by his contemporary, Thomas Edison. He held more than 125 patents in his lifetime and invented a groundbreaking steering mechanism that would be used in American prototypes of the first automobiles. The museum bearing his name serves as a tribute to his life and work, with the hope of inspiring young minds toward innovation, curiosity, and character.

Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center

This 57 acre marine life nature center was founded in 1964 as a non-profit with the mission to protect Florida’s delicate and crucial coastal ecosystems. Situated between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean on Hutchinson Island, Florida, the center serves as an educational hub of exhibits that answer common questions like, “How does a baby sea turtle make it from shore to sea?” and “Where does trash in the ocean end up?” Exhibit galleries feature Florida’s coastal ecosystem with aquariums, dioramas, interactives, digital displays, and games. Guided tours are available by request.

harborage yacht club and marina

We just purchased a 3 bedroom condo on the 4th floor with a 55 slip and cant be happier with our investment here! Excellent friendly staff, great food and drinks at their Yacht club and the marina is well cared for and well managed. We have already reccomended this location to our friends and family!

My wife and I live aboard our Viking Motoryacht and have been at the Harborage since Nov. 2021. We love it here 2 pools, hot tub, gym with Sauna, pool bar & grill, The Tidehouse restaurant open 6 days a week and Latitudes 26 marina restaurant that is only open Friday nights for marina guests & condo owners only, limited menu but food is excellent. Would have given this place 5 stars but there are a few issues with pump out and WiFi (which new wifi is in the process of upgrade and operational by end of Feb,2022). And new pump out system is in the works. Also a limited amount of marina guest parking. But that seems to be a issue at all the marinas in the downtown Stuart area. They have a shuttle service available on call.

From the owners and crew of a great SportFishing boat that passed through Stuart recently and had a emergency to deal with, the staff on duty that day at Harbourside Marina were great. I didn’t have to ask for help, they were right there for me.The entire Staff here are the best, very friendly and professional, however I really want to thank, Jim, Lucas, Kate, and Samantha. These guys went above the call of duty.Thank You very much.Sam Kirk

Beautiful docks. Great lighting at night. Wifi everywhere. This is a super place to slip your boat. Yacht club memberships available. Ships store and so much more. Salt water pool. Plenty of hands to assist with docking.

Stored my boat here for more than a month this spring while we had some work done on the engines. The entire team including Jim out on the dock, Rickelle in the office and the dockmaster Samantha were terrific. Recommended.

Nice marina however parking is a HUGE ISSUE! Park in the marina slip and hope your car doesnt get booted while you are making arrangements for a guest pass. Leave the pass on the driver window side as leaving it on your dash will get you booted!

The best docks around with the best fuel prices. This marina is newly renovated and has brand new everything, from the docks to the new restaurant coming soon! You wont be dissapointed with your stay.

We stayed here for two months the staff and facilities were excellent planning on returning next season. Great location for shopping and restaurants.

Went to the Tide House restaurant, which is located in the marina... but it was a nice, busy marina... short distance to the Stuart inlet

I absolutely love it here! The facilities are amazing! I have a friend-a retired hotel president; he was more than impressed with the facilities and dinner. Truly happy and dedicated staff.⚓

I have been here for several years and I have previously posted a negative review online due to the parking issues at the faculty and the speed at which you will find your vehicle booted for an honest mistake when parking. However, the new Dock master (Scott) contacted me over the summer and advised that he heard my complaints and those of others and he assured me that steps were taken to get the issue under control. This year I am happy to report that the staff (whom were always great to begin with) are now equipped with several gulf carts and offer shuttle services to your vehicle. The parking spaces are now clearly marked with different colors to avoid confusion and Allison remains is quick to issue a parking pass. Last week, as we were packing up to leave our boat and loading a dock cart in the rain, I looked up and a gulf cart was pulling up to take my wife and our luggage to our car. The staff have always been great and this year I have to say they remain the best of the best. Not only do they do everything in their power to make sure your stay (whether short or long) is enjoyed by all, they anticipate your needs and are quick to address them. For example, we pulled our boat into the Harborage on a windy day (along with 2 boats we were traveling with) and we all needed fuel. They instructed all of us to pull up to their large fuel dock (which easily accommodated a 62, a 52 and a 44 with plenty of room to spare) and the dock was staffed with no less than 4-5 people to make sure each boat was guided in safely and quickly tied up. The following day we were working on the head and we ran a great deal of water into the holding tank and I inquired about a pump out and as I was asking, it was being taken care of. They now have pump out connections on each dock in close proximity to each boat. The best part is they have ample staff to accommodate all. Each day I saw Scott, Jim, Nick, Samantha and several others whose names I have her to memorize all on the docks at once. The Harborage is well staffed, well run and very accommodating.

There are so many wonderful things to say about Harborage Yacht Club & Marina that I dont know where to start. The first thing is all the wonderful people that work here. Theres not a stinker in the bunch. Theyre smiling faces and attention to detail make it a joy to live here. The owners have a keen eye for hiring only the best. The facilities here are top-notch, clean and will maintained. Theres a well-appointed captains lounge, sparkling swimming pool, jacuzzi, pool bar, gymnasium, conference room, new washer and dryer facilities with tastefully decorating showers as well as a fully stocked ships store (buy a T-shirt to share the pride). Those are just a few of the amenities. I love sitting in the conversation pit with my friends in the evening enjoying a refreshing drink and sharing the cool breeze that comes off the St Lucie River. We all enjoy the amazing view of all the beautiful yachts. If youre considering coming to any other marina in Stuart I feel you would be making a huge mistake. Its nice to get a golf cart ride from the friendly staff to my boat and see all the smiling happy faces of the boat owners on the dock. Whenever I talk to my fellow boat owners about this Marina they always have nice things to say ,especially about the staff. No matter where I travel on this earth I will always have special place in my heart for the wonderful people that have made my stay Harborage Marina so enjoyable. I cant understand why any one would give this place less than 5 stars. I would give them a 10 if I could. I am not an employee nor was I asked to wright this review. I just feel compelled to let anyone shopping for a slip in Stuart to know how great this place is. Come join us, you dont know what youre missing.

Bought a boat here and was introduced to so many people through out the day and evening. The poolside atmosphere was laid back except for one young boy on sugar steroids. Enclosed tiki bar, nice restaurant upstairs. I might have to stay!

Harborage Yacht Club is a great place to keep your boat. I spent the winter there and plan on staying again next winter. The facility is new and clean. The staff is terrific, Scott the new Dock master is on top of things, and Shelagh in the dock office is always very helpful and friendly. The dock staff is always ready to help with anything we ever need. Jim, whom I have known for a few years now, is right on top of dock situations along with Chris, Nick and Samantha they are all ready for whatever we might need and always happy to help. If we ever need anything from the main office Allison has also been very helpful to us. I am looking forward to enjoying this summer in New Jersey and I am also looking forward to spending next winter at Harborage Yacht Club in Stuart Florida.

We stayed here for over 3 months and you will not find a nicer staff in any marina. They go above and beyond to be helpful! The pump-out comes to the boat and works well. We love the location with bike paths, safe streets for walking, zumba studio, and restaurants nearby. The docks are new and there is a pool and 2 restaurants. A great place to stay!

Everyone is so nice and very helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Great Marina this place is top notch . The crew is friendly and helpful .They keep the phycylaties immaculate. The club house and pool is a great place enjoy a view of the bay. Prices are affordable. If you are passing through I would definitely make a stop and enjoy the shops downtown.

Greg Allard Reports: Harborage Yacht Club Marina, Stuart, FL

Harborage Yacht Club and Marina

Stuart, Florida

772-692-4000

https://harborageyachtclub.com

In February of 2020 we spent two weeks at the Harborage, which is just northeast of the three bridges in the center of Stuart.

In past years we had docked there a couple of times, and had found it to be just ok, but not great. During that period it was a Loggerhead marina and between deferred maintenance and a hurricane, it had suffered. All of that has changed, and I’m pleased to report that the marina has been virtually redone and is now a solid choice for boaters and cruisers.

The northerly set of fixed docks are like new, with composite decking and new electrical and water supplies. From what we observed, most transient boats are assigned to the fixed docks, where you are permitted to stay aboard for any length of time. The southern section of the marina consists of floating docks which can also be rented for transient or longer term; staying aboard there is limited to four consecutive days, and nine total days, per month. The southern section is a much further walk to reach the pool and clubhouse area. The marina has a total of 300 slips, 150 are fixed and the rest are floating.

One of the issues with this marina, in the past, has been the depth of water in the basins and slips. When we were there almost two months ago, dredging was underway full time. The dockmaster now reports that the dredging has been completed (except for a couple of slips which had boats in them), resulting in 7.5’ depth at MLW in both the slips and the fairways. While some marinas in the area have issues with current, we observed none of any significance here.

The shore side facilities are excellent – pool and spa, outdoor fire-pit lounging area, free OnSpot wi-fi, a laundry,

Captain’s lounge with TV, new bathrooms and showers, fitness center, boatside (golf-cart) pumpout, poolside bar and grill, and good security. They offer golf-cart rides from your boat to landside. There is an easy-approach fuel dock, with competitive prices and pump out.

On site is the TideHouse restaurant, not operated by the marina. We had a very good bar-menu meal on the outside deck, with live music. There is a full dinner menu for inside.

Across the street from the marina, in a shopping center, is a casual Italian restaurant, Uncle Giuseppe’s , which is easy to recommend – a comfortable place, reasonably priced, with good Italian dishes and pizza.

While the marina facility is now first-rate, this is also now a well-managed marina. The Dock Master, Scott Fletcher, is a true professional, and has his hand on the pulse of the place. The dock staff he has assembled are exceptional and understand customer service. They could just not do enough for you. We had the most contact with excellent dockhands Nick and Jim. The general manger of the facility, Allison Ackell, gave us a warm welcome as we checked in and provided a detailed tour of the facility.

The long term dock rates are 17-$18 a foot, per month, with metered electricity. Daily rate is $2.95 a foot, plus flat fee electric. The long term rates makes sense for a stay of more than about two weeks. A full list of rates is on their website, listed above.

There is a Sam’s Club, a West Marine and a Publix market a couple of miles north on Federal Highway, along with any other stores you might ever need. Enterprise delivered a rental car to the marina for us. On Saturday mornings, in the neat historic section of Stuart, there is a small but quality farmer’s market.

From the GIWW, to enter the marina you leave the main channel at marker 23, (which is northeast of the high, fixed New Roosevelt bridge) and steer for the green buoy which is just outside the entrance to the marina, between the breakwaters; that heading is approximately 310M. From 23 to the green buoy the depth was around seven feet at MLW. If you are uncertain of your track, the dock staff will “talk you in” to the marina on VHF.

Is everything perfect? They need to add more dock carts – there always seemed to be a shortage. Additionally, since parking spaces are really tough to find, it would be a welcome service if the marina provided a van type shuttle to Sam’s, West Marine and Publix a few days a week.

A couple of people have commented about the noise from the nearby railroad. Yes, there is some noise, but every marina in the area, including the nearby Sunset Bay, is subject to the same thing.

The Stuart area is a hub for boaters on the east coast of Florida, and dock space is invariably hard to find. The rebirth of this marina makes for a great new facility in the area.

The Harborage Marina is open and running during these difficult times, with a number of boats having arrived from the Keys and from the Bahamas.
