By Jon Freeman

Jon Freeman

Kane Brown has announced dates and venues for an extensive arena tour set to begin in fall 2021. The news comes just one day after fellow country star Eric Church revealed plans for his own headlining arena tour.

Brown is currently featured as a duet partner on Chris Young’s single “ Famous Friends ,” which is near the Top 20 on country radio. His most recent release is 2020’s Mixtape, Vol. 1 , which included the John Legend duet “ Last Time I Say Sorry ” and “Be Like That” with Swae Lee and Khalid.

I came across Kanes music on Facebook. At first, I wasn't really into his style, then I listened to a few more songs and I absolutely love his music. I was at his concert in Springfield, IL and it was amazing. Kane has some real talent. I will be attending more tours forsure! I have the CD closer & purchased a shirt from his concert. I was lucky enough to have a photo with the man. (isnt he a dream). I listen to Kanes music daily, my two year old daughter screams when one track ends until the next comes on!

If you havent been to a concert by Kane I highly suggest you attend!

Just not to long ago I have heard of Kane Brown. One night I was looking at yup tube and I watched the what if video and the video and song was incredible. So I listened to more of his songs and right away I bought his CD's and fell in love with his music and his voice. His concert was great. Now I am 48 years old my baby sister and my mom and her best friend went and we had a fantastic time. I also love the fact that he interacts with the audience and he also brought out the other two singers that opened up for him. I will go see him again definitely. Great time. Great show.

I saw Kane Brown at the Country Tee off at The Bogey Bar and Grill in Dublin, Ohio. For the awesomeness of Kane Brown I feel the event could have done better to do him justice. The acts leading up to Chris Lane and Kane Brown were not all that great. The venue typoed the times of when Chris Lane and Kane Brown were to perform.

Kane Brown was awesome though!! I can't wait for him to return to the Columbus/Dublin, Ohio area!! My husband bought a cd, two hats and shirt!

One of my favorite things about seeing Kane live, you can just feel how humble he is and he interacts with the fans, who he clearly is thankful for. I seen Kane at the same venue a year ago and he has grown tremendously as an artist. This young man is the next big star, so if you get a chance to see him in a small venue, I can't recommend it enough, because he will be headlining sold out arena shows in his near future. I am forever a HUGE fan!

I have been to many concerts. I have seen bigger, "more famous" artist like Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean. And while I have loved every minute of them, Kane Brown is my all time favorite concert. He is such a new, raw artist that will defy standards. He gives us music with heart in every song. I strongly recommenced going to one of his concerts. He will be touring with Jason Aldean and I am going for just that reason!

Spanglerr22’s profile image

The show was not really nice. There was barely a police presence and the crown was raunchy. multiple drunken fights, weed being smoked, people pushing others to get a closer look. It was awful. We took our son for his 11th birthday because he loves KANE and he saw none of the show because people were beyond hostile and we had to keep him back. Would never attend another concert organized by the same people again.

melissa-banks-1’s profile image

Kane was really amazing and loved the way he gave us an intro of the way he used to live and what he went through. I would love to back to that day and repeat the night all over again. The only thing that sucked about it was that we weren't able to take a picture with him. But I'm really a big fan of his and enjoyed his songs even more when I seen him "live".

odalys96’s profile image

It was AMAZING! Even better than the last live show I went to of his in March! I got VIP and was really close to the Stage and got to meet him and get my picture taken! He told me my name was cool the way its spelled! Just wish event staff would have been more productive and doing better to make sure VIP got the better spots than general admission.

kaila-shrader’s profile image

Kane was amazing and I truly had a great time. He has such an amzing voice and an even more amazing story that he shared with all of us about his tough upbringing. He truly deserves to be living out his dreams. He is full of energy too and felt that he was very interactive with the crowd and kept everything fun! He's the best.

Since getting his start in 2014 as he uploaded videos of himself singing cover songs, Kane Brown has steadily grown to become one of the biggest names in modern country music. In nearly ten years, he's released three full-length albums and three EPs, yielding 20 career singles thus far.

In addition to his nine No. 1s, slew of awards and a few dozen RIAA certifications, Brown has also spent the last few years selling out arenas both stateside and across the pond, including on his 2021-2022 Blessed & Free Tour, which saw the Georgia native become the first artist to play every NBA arena in the United States, and his 2023 Drunk or Dreaming Tour.

With nearly a decade worth of music at his disposal, Brown's live show provides plenty of his biggest hits and fan-favorites along the way.

From his danceable pop and R&B-infused tunes like 'Grand,' 'Be Like That' and his debut single, 'Used to Love You Sober,' Brown also some of his older country-rooted hits, including 'Lose It,' 'Homesick, 'Good As You,' 'Heaven,' 'Short Skirt Weather' and more.

Throughout his headlining sets, Brown also spends plenty of time showing off the newer members of his catalogue, all of which have become quick hits for the genre-bending singer-songwriter. Among those that fans will be graced with are 'Like I Love Country Music,' 'Bury Me In Georgia,' 'One Mississippi' and the utterly lovely 'Thank God,' which often sees his wife and duet partner, Katelyn, making a surprise appearance.

In addition to carving out his own space in the country genre, Brown has also spent the last handful of years just about becoming a professional at crossover success, which is reflected in his average tour setlist.

Over the years, Brown has had collaborations with Camila Cabello, Khalid, Becky G, John Legend, H.E.R. and Nelly, as well as pop singer blackbear ('Memory') and DJ Marshmello ('One Thing Right'). The latter two of his long list of collaborations have often found their way into Brown's performances.

In addition to traipsing around the country on his own headlining tour during the bulk of 2023, Brown has spent much of the summer serving as a headliner on some of country music's biggest and most celebrated festivals, including Stagecoach, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, Lasso Montréal, WE Fest and more.

The remainder of 2023 will see him perform at various one off events, including the iHeartRadio Music Festival in September.

Greta Van Fleet Kane Brown

Rockers Greta Van Fleet and country star Kane Brown are set to headline Guy Fieri ’s Flavortown Fest , the celebrity chef announced Monday.

The inaugural version of the festival, set to take place in Columbus, Ohio from June 1-2, will also feature performances from Bret Michaels and country artists LOCASH and Niko Moon.

In a statement, Brown revealed his excitement for the event.

Greta Van Fleet discussed the nostalgia of playing near their hometown.

“We grew up making music in our parents’ garage just a few hours north of Columbus in Frankenmuth, Michigan, and we spent this last year making ‘Starcatcher’ really going back to our roots, our earliest memories as a band,” the band said in a statement. “We’re excited to bring that energy to the stage at Flavortown Fest this year.”

As previously announced , Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Fest will include live music, tons of food and other events, installations and surprises. The best detail? The central boardwalk through the fest is called “Bitchin’ Avenue.” See a map of the festival grounds below.

Fieri spoke to Variety via email about his vision for the festival.

How do you think these musical acts exemplify the Flavortown vibe?

The number one rule for the Flavortown playlist is that there are no rules. So, when it came to rounding up the acts for the the inaugural Flavortown Fest, it was all about who knows how to throw a good party on stage and get people movin’. From Kane Brown’s country vibe to the hard rockin’ Greta Van Fleet, we’ve got it all covered…a little something for everyone.

What are the elements of the festival you’re most excited about that make it stand out from other events?

What does it mean to you to bring the festival to your hometown of Columbus, and also give back to the community through charity work?

It means a lot to have Flavortown Fest come to my original hometown. It is literally where it all started, and will always be a special place for me. From the first time we put our heads together to conceive the Flavortown Fest, it was important to me that we not just throw a party for Columbus, but that we show Columbus that you can have a good time and also contribute to the greater good. Columbus is a city full of big-hearted folks, and we want to enrich the community as much as we want to turn it upside down!

Fans can buy tickets for the festival at  http://www.flavortownfest.com . Watch the sizzle reel for the event below.

Brooks & Dunn Announce They're Continuing Their Massive 'Reboot' Tour in 2024

The country music due is setting out on a major North American tour in spring and summer 2024

Country fans are going to be boot scootin’ boogie-ing all summer long.

On Monday, the country music duo Brooks & Dunn announced they’re continuing their acclaimed Reboot Tour into 2024 with the addition of 22 more tour dates.

This time around, the group led by Kix Brooks , 68, and Ronnie Dunn , 70, will be bringing along fellow country legend David Lee Murphy and rising singer-songwriter ERNEST .

Courtesy of Live Nation

Reboot 2024 kicks off in May and continues through the remainder of spring and into summer. The shows will officially begin on May 3 in West Palm Beach, Florida, continuing with dates through the south before the tour makes its way up the west coast.

After a handful of concerts in California, the Grammy winners will play a series of shows in the east coast and up into Canada. Along the way, they’ll make stops in major cities like New Orleans, Houston, Denver, Toronto and Montreal, among others, before ending the string of dates on June 29 in Gilford, New Hampshire.

Following a month-and-a-half-long break, the “Neon Moon” duo will also play one more final show in Welch, Minnesota on Aug. 10.

Brooks & Dunn first kicked off their Reboot Tour in 2021 after having to postpone its initial dates scheduled for 2020 due to the pandemic. The Country Music Hall of Famers set out on the road following the release of their 11th studio album Reboot in 2019, which saw them rerecording a handful of their hits with contemporary country stars like Kane Brown , Luke Combs , Kacey Musgraves and others.

Mary Kouw/CBS/Getty

When the musicians first set out on the Reboot Tour back in 2021, they spoke to PEOPLE about their legacy and love for hitting the road .

"I don't feel any different than I did 10 years ago," Brooks shared at the time. "If you do this for 20 years in a row without stopping, it doesn't really leave you necessarily. It's just a routine at this point."

"For a lot of our audience, you know, you do get to relive something with them that happened several semesters ago for all of us," he continued. "We see a lot of fans out there that are our age. We built this career together, with them right beside us. And they're still supporting us like they did back then."

Tickets for Reboot 2024 go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time at brooks-dunn.com (aside from the show at Columbia, Maryland's Merriweather Post, as the on-sale date has yet to be announced). Fans with access to the fan club artist presale will have the opportunity to get tickets early, starting Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time.

Even the most professional artists can have slip-ups on stage.

Elle King recently faced backlash for her admittedly drunken performance during the Grand Ole Opry’s celebration of Dolly Parton’s 78th birthday last week, where she announced on stage she was "f---ing hammered."

The Grand Ole Opry issued an apology on X, saying, "We deeply regret and apologize for the language that was used during last night’s second Opry performance."

In the days after the event, Fox News Digital confirmed King postponed her upcoming performance at Billy Bob’s Texas, a honky tonk in Fort Worth, Texas.

Reba McEntire

Reba McEntire is one of the reigning queens of country and will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl Feb. 11.

But even she has had fumbles on stage.

In a recent interview with CMT, McEntire was asked about her most embarrassing moment, and she delivered a memorable story involving "ripped britches."

"I was going to make my way stage right, and blue lights were going to come on. And I was going to walk back on and sing ‘Sweet Dreams’ a cappella. I did not remember this monitor being there on the floor. So, when I was shuffling my way offstage right, I shuffled my toes right underneath that monitor and fell over on top of it.

"I crawled offstage. Ripped my britches, but the show must go on. So, I dusted myself off and put my hand over where I ripped my britches, came back out and did the song.

"Nobody knew the difference."

Carrie Underwood had a wardrobe malfunction during her Las Vegas residency, "Reflection," in September.

"A zipper busted open right before I went onstage," the 40-year-old told People. "Luckily, my dresser added a big bow, and no one knew the difference. Stage magic, people."

She also revealed that during her recent concert with Guns N’ Roses, she had a "memorable fan encounter."

"I got to play some shows with Guns N’ Roses in Canada, and there were fans waiting at the airport," Underwood told the outlet. "I was sure they were waiting for them, but they were there for me."

Before he was a country star, Darius Rucker was fronting Hootie and the Blowfish.

As he explained to CMT, during those early days, musicians relied on monitors sitting on the stage to hear their own performance, and sometimes their placement could lead to a tumble.

"I’m up on the front of the stage and I’m rocking with the crowd, having a great time," Rucker recalled. "I start walking backwards, and, all of a sudden, I go over the monitor, and my guitar breaks. And I go over and I hit my head. I’m a little embarrassed, but I just stood up and did the double [wave] and just walked off stage.

"It was all over at that point."

Hillary Scott of Lady A and bandmate Charles Kelley had an unfortunate run-in while performing their signature song, "Need You Now."

"We were playing a rodeo in Texas, it was in San Antonio. … At one point, Charles hits my arm," she told Billboard.

"And the mic hits my teeth, and my lip … and my lip starts bleeding. And, so, he said that I looked like someone who was in a boxing ring, like, the rest of the song, because I had, like, blood on my teeth. And I’m pretty sure it was up on the big screens. So, that was kind of embarrassing."

Kelsea Ballerini’s most embarrassing moment actually came backstage during an awards show.

She shared on social media that, during the 2020 CMAs, she had a bizarre accident in front of Miranda Lambert.

"People often ask for my most embarrassing story, and I have a new one. while sipping some wine last night after the CMAs, somehow the glass shattered IN MY MOUTH, cutting my lip, all in front of Miranda Lambert," Ballerini posted.

She added to the post, "2020 keeping me humble y’all."

Artists know their songs front to back, but, like Kane Brown, they can occasionally get a little confused during a performance.

"There was one time I started a song with the second verse and just sang the second verse again for the first verse," Brown told CMT.

"I used to just tell the crowd that I messed up. I would just say stop and restart the whole thing. And then I found out that was bad."

Sometimes it’s not an onstage stumble or wardrobe malfunction that gets a singer, but the crowd just not feeling it.

Mickey Guyton told CMT she was singing her song, "Better Than You Left Me," when the audience started to turn on her.

"I will never forget this. I was on a radio tour, and I went to the Hard Rock Hotel and had to sing a ballad in front of a pool party," she shared.

"I mean it’s a rager, people are partying and drinking and the whole thing, and I will not forget it. I’m sitting there [singing], ‘I’m better than you left me.’ And, like, people are leaving.

"That was the most embarrassing thing, like I did not want to do that show, but I did it."

Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny and Olivia Rodrigo

From the looks of it, 2024 is going to be another year full of memorable performances from some of the biggest artists in the industry.

However, it’s following a record-breaking year for several top performers, including Taylor Swift, who embarked on the first U.S. leg and Latin America leg of her Eras Tour, as well as Beyoncé, who performed across the globe for her Renaissance World Tour. Harry Styles’ massive Love on Tour also wrapped last year, as well as tours from Karol G, Doja Cat, Janelle Monáe, John Mayer and more.

Those are just a few of the tours throughout 2023 that brought millions of fans together for great vibes, memories and music. Concert tours serve not only as an opportunity for artists to promote their latest albums or highlight their entire music catalogs, but it’s also a time for their fans to celebrate their favorite performers all together under the same roof.

But the new year is fully packed with even more concerts, tours, festivals and events for music lovers all around, no matter what genre they’re interested in. Just some of the artists hitting the road in 2024 are Bad Bunny, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, Noah Kahan, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Morgan Wallen, Blink-182, Red Hot Chili Peppers and, of course, Swift, who is finishing out her Eras Tour.

Ticket site Gametime also highlighted some of the most anticipated tours this year, based on median ticket prices, and to no surprise, artists including Swift, Rodrigo, Bad Bunny, The Eagles, Wallen and Billy Joel are in the top 10.

Although they’re not touring across the country or globe, several artists also have Las Vegas residencies this year, including Adele, Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, Shania Twain, Bruno Mars, Kylie Minogue and U2.

As you are planning out your busy year ahead filled with new adventures, The Hollywood Reporter  has compiled a list of some of the most anticipated concert tours happening in 2024, below.
