From all the must-see superyachts to the best places to party after the show, get the complete insider’s guide to the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 .
Running from 28 September to 1 October, the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 will be attracting a fleet of superyachts and thousands of attendees to the Côte d'Azur for the 31st edition of the prestigious boat show.
For four days, Port Hercules will be a hive of activity as thousands of prospective clients and industry players descend on the French Riviera to explore what’s on display on the water and along the stands. Hundreds of exhibitors will be showing off their products and services, with top shipyards , brokerage houses and marine and luxury lifestyle stalls in attendance, along with brand-new areas being unveiled at this year's show.
What’s in store at this year’s show?
This year the show will unveil its brand-new Adventure Area and Sustainability Hub, alongside its popular Design & Innovation Hub and dockside areas committed to the exhibition of superyachts and tenders.
Sustainability Hub
With a renewed focus on sustainability and environmental protection initiatives, the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 will be unveiling its brand new exhibition space dedicated to the research and development of sustainable solutions in yachting.
The Sustainability Hub will also host a variety of exhibitions relating to green renewable solutions and pro-environmental projects in yachting.
Yacht Design and Innovation Hub
Complementing the Sustainability Area will be the popular Yacht Design and Innovation Hub, where the world’s most renowned yacht designers convene to showcase their latest projects, with various presentations on design and eco-responsible projects in yachting taking place in a conference room upstairs (free access). This year, the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub also welcomes the historic exhibitors of the Designer Gallery along the Louis Chiron bend of Port Hercules.
Adventure Area
Another new zone for 2022, visitors to the Adventure Area will find a huge array of tenders, all-terrain vehicles, nautical gadgets and equipment. These will be showcased in conjunction with a wide range of activities and services targeting the up-coming generation of superyacht clientele in response to the increase in demand by discerning yacht travellers seeking ever-more thrilling adventures and unique yachting experiences.
Dockside Area
The new Adventure Area will be located within the Dockside Area, home to the afloat exhibition of motor yachts and tenders on the Quai Antoine 1er, Port Hercule.
Please note that the Dockside area is only accessible to Discover, Sapphire and press passes on Wednesday September 28, with access to the general public from Thursday onwards.
Sailing Yacht Area
As in previous years, this area will be situated along the Quai l’Hirondelle, where visitors will be able to step aboard some of the most innovative and technologically advanced sailing yachts in the world, as well as meeting some of the esteemed builders and designers who help to create the magic.
Sapphire Experience
Introduced for the first time last year, the Sapphire Experience is a bespoke tour program for visitors interested in renting or buying a yacht, with a concierge team dedicated to creating a bespoke program of events tailored to take advantage of all there is to experience at the show in true VIP fashion; including scheduled visits on board yachts, attendance at gala evenings or private cocktails on board various luxury vessels. There is also an official Sapphire tender and courtesy car service.
In addition, there are dedicated VIP entrances and lounges for convenience and relaxation throughout the show.
How to get around the Monaco Yacht Show 2022
The show takes place entirely in Port Hercules, but there will also be a number of yachts available for viewing at anchor outside the port. A water taxi is available throughout the show, with seven pick-up and drop-off points conveniently located across the marina.
The official opening times for the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show are: 10.30am-6.30pm every day, except on Saturday when the doors open at 10am and close at 6pm.
What is the official MYS 2022 superyacht lineup?
Currently, with over 130 yachts set to attend this year’s show, including 74 yachts making their debuts in Monaco, the show promises plenty of standout vessels available to view.
One of the most exciting new yachts will be Lurssen’s 115m/378ft motor yacht AHPO . A recent addition to the charter fleet, she will be drawing in plenty of attention with her Nuvolari Lenard exterior styling and palatial interiors.
On the same dock, Golden Yacht’s latest offering in the shape of 88m (289ft) superyacht Project X will also be causing a buzz. Freshly delivered, show-goers shouldn’t miss the opportunity to step on board to admire her beautiful Massari-designed interiors, as well as her 7.5-meter by 3-meter glass-enclosed swimming pool on her aft main deck and vast beach club featuring comfortable lounging area and bar, alongside a wellness suite with Hammam and Finnish Sauna.
Another star of the show will be the 85m (279ft) luxury explorer yacht VICTORIOUS , who wowed visitors last year with her distinctive sleek lines culminating in a 2-meter bowsprit and impressive array of charter-rich features and family-friendly amenities, not to mention the luxury Rolls Royce perched on her helideck bow!
The 75m (247ft) superyacht KENSHÕ will also be making waves for those keen to experience her zen-calm interiors up-close. Launched earlier this year, the innovative vessel redefines the concept of space and layout, providing guests with the ultimate luxurious platform to relax, entertain and socialize onboard.

Where to eat at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022
In Port Hercules, there are a variety of options available for snacks and refreshments, including the Upper Deck Lounge bar & restaurant run by the renowned Fairmont Monte-Carlo, as well as the Sapphire Lounge – a VIP bar and dining experience open exclusively to Sapphire badge holders – both located near the Parvis Piscine entrance.
Monaco itself has no shortage of restaurants to suit every occasion and palate during the show. For something more casual, Rue Princesse Caroline is lined with different restaurants that are well-suited to a light bite.
In the evenings, COYA Monte Carlo is where the in-crowd head for Latin-American fusion and a warm reception. The cocktail menu is expansive, so be sure to try one of their specialties and soak up the buzzy vibes as the evening wears on.
If it’s a sophisticated meal you’re after, Nobu is the ultimate choice. Expect a luxurious backdrop, a refined Japanese menu and a sensational taste experience among fellow show-goers.
Where to party after the Monaco Yacht Show 2022
As ever, Buddha-Bar will be one of the most popular venues for post-show partying in Monaco. The restaurant-bar crossover is a regular stop-off for those looking to dine and dance to the soundtrack of live DJ sets.
Twiga has a similar vibe, with a stellar menu coupled with an unrivalled club scene later in the evenings. Expect Methusalems of champagne topped with sparklers, dazzling entertainment and a no-holds-barred party vibe.
Twiga will be hosting plenty of Monaco Yacht Show-themed parties over the course of the show, so you’d be remiss not to pay the venue a visit, even if it’s just for a cocktail on the terrace.
For a true taste of French Riviera party life, look no further than Jimmy’z. This iconic club will be in full swing over the course of the Monaco Yacht Show, and will be amping up the entertainment with live performances from dance troupes and deck-spinning DJs.
Where to relax after the Monaco Yacht Show 2022
After the show, take the time to unwind and soak up the last of the Mediterranean sun.
Nikki Beach Monte Carlo is still going strong on the roof of the Fairmont Hotel, and offers poolside lounging and a summery soundtrack throughout the day, offset by spectacular views over Port Hercules and the yachts at anchor opposite the marina.
A little outside Monaco in the small town of Eze lies one of the best-kept secrets in the South of France. Anjuna Plage occupies a thin sliver of beach, and boasts a premier restaurant, boutique shop and a laid-back vibe that makes it a fan favourite. Best accessed by yacht, it also has a roster of A-list clientele.
Where to visit after the Monaco Yacht Show 2022
The French Riviera is one of the most beautiful regions in the Mediterranean and has no end of things to see and do. In Monaco, visitors can explore the decadent Monte Carlo casino, browse the Private Collection of Antique Cars of H.S.H. Prince Rainier III or admire the incredible selection of marine life at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
Afterwards, stop by neighbouring Menton to visit Mirazur, a restaurant that was named the Best in the World for 2019. Then, pay a visit to the Val Rahmen Exotic Gardens for an afternoon of botanical bliss.
Head over to Nice for a day of sightseeing and walking the cobbled streets of the city, taking the time to explore the famous Matisse Museum and the pink palace of Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.
Those looking to travel even further afield can stop by the spa at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes or take a boat ride out to the Lérins Islands outside the bay of Cannes , where you will find the famous Abbey and the superyacht hotspot of La Guerite, a beach club and restaurant on the island.

The other major events of the year
Monaco Yacht Show
Created in 1991 by French entrepreneur Maurice Cohen, the MYS displays around one hundred unique and exceptional superyachts constructed by the world’s foremost shipbuilders. Along the docks where these prestigious vessels are moored, visitors will find a host of companies, shipbrokers, and other important yachting industry stakeholders.
The MYS, the Place to Sea
The Monaco Yacht Show is globally renowned for the exceptional quality and impressive size of its superyachts. Of the hundred or so on display every year, around forty are being unveiled for the first time in their worldwide debut. The average length of the vessels is 50 metres, with some mega yachts exceeding 100 metres. In recent years, the MYS has expanded its offering to include the ultra-high end markets intrinsically linked to the exclusive world of superyachting, featuring luxury goods, cars and motorcycles, helicopters, and private jet constructors.
The Show is now an iconic event, popular with private visitors who come to discover the incredible collection of superyachts available to purchase or charter, and to meet market experts in the festive and glamorous atmosphere of the Principality of Monaco.
Not to be missed...
At nightfall, the superyachts come alive in a different atmosphere, offering a spectacular illuminated display of a thousand lights.

Your guide to the Monaco Yacht Show
Whether you’re considering embarking on your first yacht charter or have owned multiple yachts for the past 30 years, the Monaco Yacht Show delivers a thrilling experience for all. The sun-drenched waterside trade show caters to ultra-high-net-worth individuals drawn by the appeal of life at sea. Comprising latest launches from the world’s leading shipyards, new concept designs from cutting edge design studios and a host of thought-led innovations and new technology, it’s the best place to learn about new ideas, toys and equipment for anyone entering or already immersed in the superyacht sphere.
What is the Monaco Yacht Show?
The aptly named Monaco Yacht Show takes place each year in the principality’s stunning Port Hercule. It’s the world’s leading and largest in-water display of yachts and superyachts. Over 30,000 visitors accumulate on the French Riviera to be seen and get a glimpse of the EUR 4,000,000,000 worth of yachts that hail from around the world, both classic wonders and latest launches.
When is the Monaco Yacht Show?
The show takes place each year in the month of September. In 2022, it runs from Wednesday 28 September to Saturday 1 October, with an invite-only opening event happening on the Tuesday evening and a closing party on the Saturday night. Unofficially, it’s the chicest way for billionaires to celebrate the end of summer.
Event overview: Planning your trip to Monaco
Tickets to the show can be purchased in advance costing EUR 500 per person for a one-day pass, EUR 850 for two days and EUR 1,350 for three days. For Sapphire ticket holders and Discover badge holders, a complimentary courtesy car service operates between the show and any destination in Monaco. For all visitors, complimentary water taxis and electric golf buggies provide transport to the various quays of Port Hercule between 10.00 and 18.30.
How long is the Monaco Yacht Show?
The Monaco Yacht Show is a four-day event, with admission on Werdnesday 218 September invite-only. There are three public entrances to the event, and two VIP entrances reserved for Sapphire ticket holders and Discover badge holders.
What should I wear to the Monaco Yacht Show?
The Monaco Yacht Show is as much a place to be seen as it is to see yachts. For women planning on stepping aboard boats, practicality enters the nautical chic fashion equation with tailored shorts often a firm favourite. For men, chinos and a navy blazer prove popular, but there is no official dress code in place other than inside the Monaco Yacht Club, which requires a gentleman’s blazer to be worn at all times. It’s also worth noting that shoes are required to be removed prior to boarding yachts.
What events are there to attend?
The Sapphire Experience is the Monaco Yacht Show’s tailor-made official VIP programme and is largely reserved for visitors interested in a yacht project. The Car Deck is also worth a visit offering a display of classic and customised one-of-a-kind supercars for all petrol head enthusiasts.
What else can I do in Monaco?
When in Monte Carlo, there are a plethora of sites to keep the cultural minded entertained. The Palais Princier de Monaco is the official residence of the ruling monarch - Albert II, Prince of Monaco – established in 1191. It’s recommended to pair a visit to the Palace with a trip to Saint Nicholas Cathedral, where Prince Albert’s parents, Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, were married in 1956.
Visit the Monaco Oceanographic Museum
Few exhibitions rival the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, located in Monaco-Ville. It forms part of the Institut Océanographique founded by Paul Ricard in 1966 and holds interactive thematic spaces spotlighting marine wildlife, biodiversity and research. The jelly fish tank alone is worth the very reasonable EUR 14 entrance fee. Current displays include the new Polar Mission showcasing science and explorers from the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as Inuit communities.
Explore the Monaco Top Cars Collection
Comprising Prince Rainier III’s personal collection assembled over 30 years, the Monaco Top Cars Collection includes over 100 automobiles from Europe and America displayed over five floors in the Terrasses de Fontvieille museum. Notable cars in the collection include the Bugatti Type 35 that won the inaugural Monaco Grand Prix in 1929, and Sebastien Loeb’s Citroën DS3 WRC, which he drove to victory in the 2013 Monte Carlo Rally.

Monaco Yacht Show: 2024 Guide
This is a complete guide to the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, written by a Monaco resident who attends every year. This insider guide includes the locations, parties, ticketing, exhibitors, and insider tips.
The Monaco Yacht Show is the world’s leading yacht show. Held on the Mediterranean seaside in Port Hercule, Monaco , it is the largest in-water display of large yachts. An estimated 30,000 people come to see the more than €4.3 billion worth of yachts displayed in the port.
It is known as THE chicest way for billionaires to celebrate the end of summer. The biggest, newest, most innovative and most expensive yachts will be on display in this new edition of the Monaco Yacht Show.
The many superyachts are the center of attraction, but there will also be so much more on offer for the show’s opulent observers. As the quintessential playground for the rich, Monaco Yacht Show continues to impress its billionaire patrons, ensuring their return year after year.
There will always be super speedboats, helicopters, personal submarines, limousines, and luxury cars to see. Hotels, restaurants, and the Casino will also cater to the epicurean needs of the guests.
The ‘Car Deck’ for the exhibits of classic and customized vehicles will display models of the best machinery for connoisseurs’ delight. The ‘Starboard’ is the main exhibition lounge of companies that offer products and services related to the superyacht lifestyle: destinations, luxury products, and arts. Both will be on Quai Antoine 1er.
Monaco Yacht Show Awards
VIP guests and yachting social elites will be invited to attend the Monaco Yacht Show Superyacht Awards , along with the show’s partners, yachting business top-players, and select media. The awards will be held at the Monaco Yacht Club and attendance is exclusively by personal invitation. The awards section of the evening lasts about 20 minutes, and the rest of the evening is a lively cocktail party with a DJ, food and open bar.
A panel of respectable yachting journalists will select the winners of the following categories:
- The MYS/Rina Award
- (Interiors) The MYS Interior Design Award
- (Exteriors) The MYS Exterior Design Award
- The MYS Finest New Superyacht Award
Monaco Yacht Summit
Yachting clients will also have a chance for an informative panel discussion regarding topics in superyachting, insights from industry experts and professionals in the Monaco Yacht Summit.
The event is exclusively reserved for yacht owners and charterers (and want to enhance their knowledge), prospective end-user clients and their representatives, and private wealth managers.
The Monaco Yacht Summit is held the day before the Yacht Show officially starts, at the Monaco Yacht Club . Attendance is based on pre-qualification by emailing [email protected]
Badges for the Monaco Yacht Show
In order to make the overall experience clearer to visitors and professionals, a three-category system is used. Discover badges are for yacht clients; Advise badges are for their advisors and consultants, and Connect badges are for trade visitors. The badges will show the profile of each visitor so that the right people can connect on sight. Buyers can therefore identify designers and builders at a glance, whilst their captains and reps can readily find equipment manufacturers, for example.
But for those with regular day passes to the show, you’ll need an appointment and be able to pass a check by the yacht representative to make sure you’re a serious potential buyer or charter customer.
Sapphire VIP Experience
If you’re in the market to buy a yacht and looking for more personalized experiences, ‘ Sapphire Experience ’ VIP tickets include exclusive activities at both the show and in Monaco for superyacht owners, charterers, and potential clients. VIP guests also have access to special courtesy cars provided by the Monaco Yacht Show to drive them around the city during their stay.
Getting your hands on these tickets comes with a premium price tag and you’ll need to get approved — about 80% of applicants for the Sapphire Experience are rejected. The VIP experience is limited to 200 people and only serious yacht-buyers are able to purchase these coveted passes.
Yacht Tours and Parties
Even those who’ve bought tickets won’t be allowed to tour many of the most exclusive yachts, nor attend the evening yacht parties, without being invited by the yacht companies and brokers. If you’re in the market for a yacht, make sure to view the exhibitor list and arrange tours of your favorite yachts in advance.

Monaco Yacht Show 2021 Insider Guide For Visitors & Exhibitors
Sep 18, 2021 | Events , Marketing Advice , News , Press , Things to see & do
Monaco Yacht Show 2021 will run from Wednesday 22 September to Saturday 25 September at Port Hercules. After a hiatus since the last show in 2019, there is a new show format in line with current Monaco Government regulations and after consultation with the industry about what they would like to see implemented for a major boat show.
Taking place at the end of the Med yachting season, Monaco Yacht Show has always been an essential industry event for major brokerage houses, shipyards, yacht designers, marine tech, tenders and toys. This year, Port Hercules will host over 60 superyachts and 300 exhibitors so there’s certain to be some much-anticipated networking between marine and luxury suppliers. Sadly, there won’t be the usual MYS parties we’re all used to but I’m looking forward to a great week nonetheless!

Press Badges will not be issued if a client/exhibitor has commissioned you to take photos or video footage. In these instances, if your client is an exhibitor: ask your client for an invitation or badge to get into the show. If your client is not an exhibitor: you must purchase an entrance ticket to the show because a Press badge will not be issued.
Trains : If you are commuting to and from Monaco by train, you can receive a discount on your TER SNCF PACA train pass up to 75%. You do not have to be a resident of France or Monaco or a certain age to access the discount. The pass is called ZOU! Mensuel and is valid for a 7 day duration. Buy your pass online here, under ‘Trajet’ you will need to specify the origin and destination stations, for example Antibes to Monaco Monte-Carlo etc: https://www.ter.sncf.com/sud-provence-alpes-cote-d-azur/offres/cartes-abonnements/abonnement-ter-paca-zou-hebdo-mensuel

There’s also information about public beaches, walking trails, where to walk your dog, children’s playgrounds, cultural attractions such as art galleries, traffic updates, the location of defibrillators in Monaco and information about recycling and energy. The site is available in English, French and Italian. It is particularly useful for the information about elevators in Monaco! Your Monaco is a useful site for visitors to Monaco, especially regarding transport and public amenities.
Buses : Exhibitors, Accredited Press and Sapphire Experience visitors can use the bus network of Monaco for FREE between 7am and 9pm during show days. You need to request a bus card at the MYS entrances upon presentation of your MYS badge. For bus timetables for local Monaco buses, go here: https://www.cam.mc/en
Show shuttle boats: Free shuttle boats will run across Port Hercules from 10am to 6.30pm, download the show map to familiarise yourself with the various routes as they go to different quays. Note : Don’t ask the tender drivers to take you to a specific stand/yacht as it’s not a personalised tender service and they don’t know the locations of specific exhibitors; you need to familiarise yourself with the quay names e.g. Jetee Luciana, Quai L’Hirondelle etc: https://www.monacoyachtshow.com/media-file/691/mys2021-general-layout.pdf
PR, Marketing & Social Media
Whether you’re a small business owner taking care of your own social media, or a large company with full support from a media/communications team, here are some basic marketing and communication tips that will boost your exposure during Monaco Yacht Show.
Provide clear information for your customers
Proof read your website well in advance prior to the show – I won’t name names here but I’ve seen major yachting brands with multiple spelling errors in their charter itineraries online (oops!). No excuses for this.
Ensure visitors to your website have clear menu headings to guide them and straightforward information that helps them make a decision about what to do next; whether that is ordering a product easily, asking for more details about a specific product/service or directing them to subscribe to your mailing list.
Most people at MYS will have their smartphones with them – is your website mobile-friendly?
By the time the show starts, you should have your visual identity defined. Share your company logo, use photos and graphics in all your communication.
Make it easy to understand key information in your social media posts or printed material:
- Your MYS stand number or berth location
- A location map
- Contact details
- Your social media accounts and any relevant hashtags
With the pandemic impacting interactions, we no longer can host large-scale live presentations or leisurely onsite parties. Think about what methods you have to attract potential customers to your stand and convert them to sales?
Prepare a few versions of an elevator pitch about your business that says what your company does and why you are different from competitors. Planning is key because it’s amazing how many exhibitors have no clear direction when they talk to you and you have no idea what they do!
Monaco Yacht Show Exhibitor Lists
Review the Monaco Yacht Show Exhibitor lists including yachts, exhibitors and media so you know who is attending and where to find them. The show maps are available on the MYS website.

Dealing with Media & Journalists
I will be at MYS interviewing industry professionals on behalf of a number of yachting media including Yachting International Radio and OnboardOnline.
For exhibitors, you’ll find that media representatives, journalists, photographers and videographers will be exceptionally busy creating content before, during and after the show.
Review the MYS Exhibitor List under ‘Media Partners’ to see who will be represented at the show and choose 2-3 to introduce your company to. Don’t just send Editors or writers a link to your website or a 2000-word sales brochure. Tailor your approach by highlighting your latest innovations or projects at MYS. List your MYS press conference under the ‘Media – Press Agenda’ section on the MYS website.
If you can prepare a media kit or press release, do so and include details about photos, technical/product/designer descriptions, contact details and pricing if necessary. Tell journalists if this information is fine for immediate release or confidential until a set date – you’ll be surprised how many assume they know.
If an unexpected media interview arises, a good journalist will let you know what they need (one comment, 200 words, a full-page summary) and where it will be published. Avoid being 100% self-promotional or the audience will get bored or stop reading – if you want people to read an advertisement, buy one! Believe it or not, I have contacted exhibitors for comments for articles and they HAVE NOT replied missing out on valuable opportunities for global media coverage and PR.
Monaco Yacht Show (photo: MYS)
Provide value by answering questions promptly as many journalists have tight deadlines. Exchange contact details so the journalist can reach you if they need further information, high-resolution images to support the article or send you a link when published.
Not everyone at MYS has an exhibition stand – many people are roaming and networking on the quays or at restaurants outside the show so be prepared to meet anyone, at any time.
After the show, make sure you publish a write up about the show on your company blog, website or newsletter with key takeaways from your time at the show – this is good for SEO and a great opportunity to add in any links to press articles.
Social Media
While there’ll be a lot of live social media posts during Monaco Yacht Show, it’s helpful to plan your social media strategy in advance as much as possible – what type of posts you will publish, photos, captions.
Nominate one person or a team to take care of all social media during show week so there’s consistency and adherence to brand messaging – no one wants to see John from the shipyard table dancing on Facebook Live, or Julie from sales tipsy and tagging everyone on Instagram with your company hashtag.
Remind your audience where to find you: embed your active social media feeds on your website, add your social media handles to your newsletter and include social sharing buttons on all your blog posts.
Explain to your employees how your social media presence is contributing to company growth, brand awareness, sales. A company’s efforts are the sum of all parts, so get your staff to like and share your social media posts.
The official hashtags go crazy during Monaco Yacht Show, so it’s valuable to pick up some of that online traffic and divert it towards your own yachting company or business. The official show Twitter account is @mys_monaco and hashtags #MYS2021 and #MonacoYachtShow.
One of my favourite features of Twitter is the ability to create Lists which I use for most major events. I highly recommend you make a targeted list of your key clients Twitter handles and hashtags. This is an excellent way to cut through the online noise on Twitter and see tweets and retweets from people in your niche. Twitter Lists save huge amounts of time and energy during the show where you can mention your clients in tweets, tag them in photos etc. You will not have time to research this information for every client during the show. Your clients are more likely to share your tweets if you include them in the tweet. Whether you make a list of 5 clients, 10 clients or 50 clients you can do this NOW and be prepared and ready to go. To create your own customised Twitter list of clients, prospective clients, industry players etc, log into your Twitter Profile, click onto ‘Lists’ and then ‘Create new list’.
LinkedIn is a fantastic platform for generating business leads and new clients. Search for specific people, posts, companies or content in the search bar e.g. #Yachting and engage with industry-relevant content by commenting on posts. I have my LinkedIn profile as a QR code on my business card which makes is super easy for new contacts to connect with me.
On LinkedIn mobile, you can also share your own QR code easily….once logged into your LinkedIn personal profile, click on the QR code icon at the top and you can then share your code or save it to your photos.
On LinkedIn mobile, you can share your own QR code easily from your profile.
Instagram and Facebook
Sharing live videos during yacht shows is a good way to gain exposure with your target audience. For Instagram Live, keep your videos short as no one has time to watch a lengthy video.
Maximise the reach of Instagram and Facebook Stories during MYS by geotagging ‘Port Hercules’ or ‘Monaco’ and use the official show hashtag #MYS2021 in any Stories.
You can follow my updates during MYS using hashtag #AntibesYachting via www.instagram.com/antibesyachting and www.twitter.com/antibesyachting
Monaco Yacht Show Covid-19 Sanitary & Health Measures
Wearing a mask outdoors is compulsory in Monaco for people aged 5 years and over.
Access to MYS will be based on presentation of a health pass in digital or paper format: Monaco Safe Pass, Covid EU digital certificate or ONE of the following documents in French or English, either:
– Negative PCR or antigenic test result less than 72 hours. – A complete vaccination*: For COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen, 28 days after one dose For other vaccines, 7 days after the 2nd dose or single dose for people who have had covid19. – Proof of covid19 recovery certificate: Positive PCR test older than 11 days and less than 6 months.
For the MYS show week, for fully vaccinated people it’s possible to get a health bracelet valid for the show week by presenting your complete vaccination proof at the MYS entrance (either digital or paper versions).
Accepted masks within the show are surgical masks, FFP2 or Bettimask™ fabric masks (All other fabric masks are not allowed).
List of pharmacies in Monaco offering antigen or PCR tests: https://www.monacoyachtshow.com/media-file/724/mys-list-pharmacies-laboratories-en-16-09-21.pdf
Dress Code for Monaco Yacht Show
There is no particular dress code for MYS, nevertheless the organisers reserve the right to expel any person whose attitude or clothing is judged to be incompatible with the standing and image of the show or who refuses to comply with the policies in force on the premises.
Monaco has its own microclimate and the weather can be changeable. Check the weather in advance and be prepared for everything – consider sunglasses, a hat, sun cream and/or a travel umbrella.
Take spare face masks because we’ve all broken the strings on them!
Especially for ladies, I highly recommend taking tissues, hand sanitiser, face spritzer and a portable mirror for makeup touch-ups (because the mirrors in the installed bathrooms on-site don’t really give you the best lighting to reapply makeup).
Top suggestion is footwear: wear comfortable footwear and take blister plasters! Ladies, avoid high heels as your feet will be dying by the end of the day. Men, wear neat socks. Don’t forget to check your pedicure or manicure – it’s astounding how many people forget to trim their toenails or have chipped nail varnish on their toes when barefoot on board a luxury yacht.
Other Miscellaneous FAQs
There is no left luggage facility at Monaco Yacht Show. If you have suitcases or large items you will need to check in at your accommodation and leave items there.
Dogs are permitted into the show with these conditions: Guide dogs are allowed to accompany visually-impaired owners. Small dogs that can easily be carried in their owner’s arms are permitted; they must be on a lead at all times and owners must pick up any dog mess. Other animals aren’t permitted.

The Ultimate Guide to the Monaco Yacht Show
The Monaco Yacht Show is a four-day event that takes place each year in Monaco’s deepwater port, Port Hercules, and is Europe’s biggest in-water display of superyachts of over 20 metres long. At any time of the year, impressive yachts are moored in the principality’s harbour, but this annual trade show really does take luxury yachting to a whole new level.
125 one-off superyachts feature in the monaco boat show.
The Monaco Yacht Show was started in 1991 by the French entrepreneur Maurice Cohen and was most recently acquired by British event organiser Informa in 2005. Today, the show has grown to curate an exhibition of 125 superyachts, welcoming over 550 companies from the yachting industry and unveiling 45 new launches in a worldwide premiere.
How to be dazzled by the Monaco yachts
The Monaco Yacht Show is taking place from September 26-29 in 2018. There are a couple of different passes that visitors can buy for visiting the show. Firstly, The Daily Pass is €280 and valid for one day of your choice during the show. It gives visitors access to all the exhibition spaces but doesn’t include access to the yachts themselves.
The Professional Pass is for professionals of the nautical and luxury markets and costs a cool €950, while the Sapphire Experience doesn’t come with a provided price tag, which gives you an idea of the kind of exclusive visit it is. It is reserved for future superyacht charterers or owners and more details and contact information are available on the event’s website .
Something for car lovers, too
In 2016, the Monaco Yacht Show introduced Car Deck, an exhibition space within the boat show to showcase luxury cars. Manufacturers have included Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin and more. Take a look at the yacht show’s layout for information on entrances, lounges, refreshment areas and more.
Arrive by helicopter
In for a penny, in for a pound. Unsurprisingly, one of the most popular ways to travel to Monaco is by helicopter, which could be just what you’re looking for if planning an exclusive trip to the Monaco Yacht Show. Monacair links the Nice airport to Monaco in just seven minutes. In true Monaco fashion, seven minutes will set you back €130!
Monaco’s train station connects with Nice’s main station, too, which provides a slightly more affordable option and of course, you can drive to the principality, as long as the underground parking systems don’t put you off.
