The QUANTUM BLUE yacht was built by Luerssen at their Bremen shipyard in Germany.

She is 104 meters (341.2 ft) long and was designed by Alberto Pinto and Tim Heywood Design.

The French design house of Alberto Pinto is responsible for the interior furnishings of the QUANTUM BLUE yacht.

While Pinto himself passed away in 2012, his team of professional designers successfully carry on his legacy of bespoke yacht design.

He is known for his classical design choices and creates opulent layouts for his clients, all custom-made.

Although the exact details of the interior of QUANTUM BLUE are not known, it is assumed that the yacht looks similar to Pinto’s previous projects with a modern twist on traditional yacht interiors.

The vessel can accommodate fourteen guests in seven spacious cabins as well as eighteen crew members, which is not a large team considering QUANTUM BLUE is more than 100 meters long.

She has a spa, a gym, a cinema room, and a beautiful beach club on board, as well as separate crew and guest elevators.

Specifications

The impressive QUANTUM BLUE yacht is 104 meters (341.2 ft) long with a 16.8 meter (55.1 ft) beam and a 4.1 meter (13.5 ft) draft.

Her total weight lies at 4,341 tons, and she is powered by twin diesel MTU engines.

Her average cruising speed is 13 knots, but if needed, she can reach top speeds of 22 knots.

She features high-quality at-anchor stabilizers which ensure optimal comfort levels for her guests even during rough seas.

Tim Heywood Design Studio developed the elegant exterior of the QUANTUM BLUE yacht. The award-winning designer has worked on high-profile projects such as DILBAR in the past and is well-respected in the world of superyachts.

QUANTUM BLUE is all-white with four decks, all equipped with comfortable seating areas for guests.

A spacious beach club opens up onto the swimming platform aft of the vessel, allowing direct water access.

The yacht is equipped with a modern underwater lighting system and a large aluminum superstructure.

At the bow, a helipad enables the owner of QUANTUM BLUE to arrive and depart in style. Her top deck features a large jacuzzi providing exceptional views of the surrounding ocean.

The QUANTUM BLUE yacht was built for a price of US $250 million and incurs annual running costs between US $15 and 25 million. The yacht is currently not available for charter or for sale.

Nuclear-Powered $633 Million Superyacht Boasts First-Ever Quantum Computer, Holds 160 Research Scientists

A n ambitious nuclear -powered superyacht named Earth 300 which is designed to unite science and luxury, is set to make its debut as soon as 2025.

Knewz.com has learned that the vessel adorned with its distinctive “floating sphere” is ever so close to construction and subsequently, its first voyage.

The Earth 300 superyacht will offer scientists from around the globe a unique opportunity for sustainable sea exploration.

Its design offers 13 floors above deck and 22 laboratories providing ample space for as many as 160 scientists to study and address critical issues such as climate change and pollution.

One of the vessel’s most salient features is its floating sphere which is situated on top of the vessel’s deck.

This particular feature will serve as a hub for all scientific pursuits on board and offer a dedicated space for researchers to conduct their work.

In addition to its research capabilities, Earth 300 will boast Molten Salt Reactors which is a type of nuclear power source that runs on liquid salt making the superyacht the only 100% emission-free vessel of its kind while allowing it to sail for 300 days a year.

The superyacht is a mammoth of a vessel measuring 200 feet in height and an impressive 980 feet from its bow to stern.

It is also divided into distinct sections.

The top observational deck provides sweeping views of the surrounding seas while below that is the superstructure, whereupon the large sphere is perched.

The lower sections of the vessel house living accommodations, a lounge area, dining space, and a “self-sufficient city” for the crew.

The Earth 300 can accommodate 160 scientists, 20 students, and 165 crew members who will navigate the ship and support research efforts.

Additionally, 40 VIP guests will be permitted on board and housed in 20 luxury cabins.

The estimated construction cost of the avant-garde vessel is a staggering $633 million.

While the exact location of its construction is yet to be determined, it is likely to be built in either Europe or South Korea and expected to be completed as early as 2025 in time for its first voyage.

The Earth 300 website states: “Oceans are our future. They are the beating heart of the planet, regulating everything from crops to climate to providing us with every second breath we take.”

“Our vessel promises to reframe what a floating research laboratory can achieve. The capabilities that our scientists will have at their disposal are exceptional: artificial intelligence , robotics, machine learning, real time data processing. We will also have the latest quantum computer on board, the first to take to the high seas.”

Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 25 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 33 knots with a range of up to 450 nautical miles from her 11,000 litre fuel tanks at 24 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Quantum has a good selection of water toys and accessories to entertain you and your guests whilst on charter. Take to the sea on a Jet Ski offering you power and control on the water. Additionally, there are two Jobe Tribal towable toys offering fun and adventure. Another excellent feature is a waterski that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Quantum also features a seabob, wakeboards, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment. Quantum also sports a Williams Jet Tender to transport you with ease.

A closer look at W, the 58m Feadship superyacht for sale

The 57.6-metre Feadship superyacht W is now on the market with Edmiston 's Andrew Bond. Delivered as Larisa in 2013, the superyacht cruised under the same owner until she was sold in 2019. A 11-month refit soon followed, which saw W emerge from Feadship's Holland facilities with a gleaming silver hull , a larger Jacuzzi and an all-new television lounge.

BOAT takes a closer look at this yacht for sale...

1. She's a proven island cruiser

W has earned her cruising stripes, having chartered extensively across the Bahamas, the Exuma Islands, the Abacos Islands and the Eleuthera Islands. "Last summer, we did 69 days cruising in the Mediterranean," said W 's current owner. "And because of her new Quantum XT stabilisation system, she felt like she was bolted to the ocean floor."

Bonus fact : The superyacht also made headlines last year when her crew rescued a man that had been stranded off the Spanish coast for five days.

2. Her interiors are Byzantine-inspired

British studio Bannenberg and Rowell is the mind behind W 's chic interiors, with fresh touches added by A La Mer during her refit. Greek, Italian and Byzantine influences are evident in the interior details, including her glass overlays and checkerboard marble bathroom. 

The full-beam owner's cabin benefits from a large bathtub with ocean views, a spacious dressing area, a separate lounge area and a private balcony. The other four cabins lie on the lower deck, all with entertainment centres, Sharp LCD television screens and en suite bathroom facilities.

3. She has a 21-metre-long sundeck

The sundeck is W 's social hub, and her impressive length houses a sit-up bar, a raised Jacuzzi, forward-facing daybeds and a table for shaded, open-air dining. There's also plenty of space aft to accommodate some more sunloungers and sofa seating.

Bonus fact : Another al fresco lounge can be found on the bridge deck, which offers "the perfect setting for relaxed evening drinks" according to the broker.

"The best thing about W is that she is a steel-hulled Feadship – and nothing even comes close," said the owner. "She gives you the freedom to explore anywhere in the world, unlike coastal yachts built by other companies."

Based in Fort Lauderdale, W is asking €49,950,000. This makes her one of the most expensive superyachts currently for sale.
