Thank you so much for this review! We hope you get back to us soon. 'Til next time! Cheers!!

This was our first trip to the Bahamas. Staniel Cay Yacht Club has always been on my radar and we finally made the trip and it was perfect in every way. The flight on Makers Air was seamless and gave us our first glimpse of the almost other worldly turquoise swirl of water and sand from above. We were picked up as soon as we landed and ushered by golf cart for a 2 minute drive to SCYC. We spent the next 4 nights in utter bliss in this magical little slice of heaven. Our cottage was straight out of a fairy tale with the nurse sharks and rays swimming right past our front porch. Our days started with a full breakfast on the deck watching the boats and the birds and the sea life. We ordered lunch and dinner at breakfast and the kitchen prepares your lunch in large cooler filled with your lunch order ice, drinks, snacks ,fruit and 2 big bottles of water. Then we grab our cooler and make our way to our 17’ skiff and spend the day bopping around from pristine deserted beaches and enormous sand bars snorkeling and swimming in caves throughout the day in the crystal clear sapphire blue water. After our day in the water we would relax at the cottage then make our way to the bar have a couple drinks and wait for the dinner bell and make our way to the dining room. Diner was a full on affair bread, soup, salad, your entree which you chose at breakfast and dessert. The food and service was impeccable and the dining room was the perfect place to watch the sun go down. Each day was a different adventure out on the boat but the rest was our routine was the same and it was perfect. We have been to many places over the years but Staniel Cay Yacht Club is a very special place. The beauty of this place is not to be matched but the people that work there are the real reason this place is so special. The wonderful welcoming staff of SCYC made my husbands birthday beyond special and gave us the trip of a lifetime.

Hello okeanis57! We'll be here for your next 20 trips!! Thank you very much for your devotion to Staniel Cay Yacht Club and we look forward to serving you for years to come!

We stayed on a mooring ball so we didn’t experience the accommodations, but talked to some folks who were very pleased. We did have dinner two nights and one breakfast and all the meals were excellent. They have a dinner special - four courses for a very reasonable price - I had rack of lamb ( twice) and my friend had catch if the day and ribs the second night - all were wonderful. Soup starter, salad and dessert were included. The harbor is lovely with a great view of the sunsets. And take a trip to the blue grotto and the swimming pigs- lots of fun!

Hi Lynn! We really appreciate you taking the time to award the Staniel Cay Yacht Club with a 5-Star review. Our kitchen works hard to provide fantastic meals so it's great to hear that you enjoyed your dining experiences with us! On your next trip we hope to WOW you with our bungalows if you decide to stay on land. See you soon!

From the incredible staff, to the amazing boating community and the warm friendly local bohemians, everyone treats you like family. Who can resist the listerine blue waters, sugar soft sand, irresistible food and drinks that are better than any five star resort you've ever been to? Every single time we have to depart this little slice of heaven, we literally count the days until we'll return.... Great resort, but poor sleep quality experience

We absolutely loved most of the experience staying at Staniel Cay. The food was incredible. The staff was great, especially in the restaurant. We loved exploring in our boat every day and had the best picnics while island hopping. The views and sunsets were spectacular and it was in seeing all the beautiful yachts. I want to give this resort a five star, but the reason for a three start review boils down to sleep quality. Our cottage was darling and aesthetically, very appealing. We stayed in two different cottages while we were there for Christmas, moving from the first cottage after the first night (only because we extended our trip and came a day early). Both beds had some of the hardest mattresses we have ever slept on. I have had spinal surgery and I was absolutely miserable each night. My back felt like it was breaking each morning and I tossed and all night each night. My husband was uncomfortable too. In addition, the pillows were feather pillows and were flat as pancakes - even if you stacked 2-3. The beds also had down feather comforters with just a sheet on them - IN THE CARIBBEAN! I’m going through menopause and this combination, at the beach especially, is a hard no for me. I did ask for a thin blanket instead of a down comforter and was brought a polyester feeling blanket that was small and barely covered... At this point, I wouldn’t be able to, knowing I wouldn’t be able to sleep for days. My suggestion would be to have some mattress toppers in storage for these situations and also have better pillow and bedding options. More

In the dining room, the food is delicious, the service is great and theres a good chance you will be overcharge. Three out of 4 times our bill has been way higher than the menu stated. Tonight surf and turf was supposed to be $56, they charged $80. After they corrected that they still had the $58 bottle of wine at $75. At this rate it hardly seem accidental. And btw gratuity is included.

Booked our all inclusive package to celebrate the big 5-0, but felt as if we were on our honeymoon instead! We loved our cozy accommodations. The food was always tasty and served hot. The boxed lunches for our daily boat excursions were perfect for beach picnics. Thank you SCYC for your hospitality, sharing your beautiful island, providing well groomed grounds, and making each day easy and fun. We shall return, dreaming of those peanut-coladas until then!

Loved this place! Food was excellent and the atmosphere was great! Closest meal we had to a nice American lunch, very generous Portions, cutest items in the gift shop To take home. We had.no issues finding gluten free options

Hi Dana! Thank you for visiting SCYC and taking the time to write this review. Our kitchen strives for a 5-star experience with every meal so we are happy you had a great experience!

We visited SCYC in March 2023 and loved it. The first night we stayed in Orange, then moved to Sugar Apple for 2 nights. Orange has an excellent view and the deck sits right above the water where we saw fish and some rays right below us. SCYC is pretty small, but Orange is right by the pool and only a few steps away from the path to the beach. It was very quiet and we never heard noise from neighbors or the restaurant. Sugar Apple is on the opposite side near the dock. You can't go wrong with any location at SCYC, but for us, Sugar Apple was a step up from Orange. The bathroom was large and modern, the bed was larger, the closet was massive and we loved the porch swing. The view is very different as you are looking out at the boats coming and going, but very entertaining. Orange is quieter but we really enjoyed Sugar Apple. Food at SCYC was good, and the box lunches are huge. Drinks can get expensive but there is a small liquor store on site and a couple of grocery stores within walking distance. My husband only drinks craft beer and didn't find anything that made the cut, so he opted to pay more for the better beer at SCYC. We spent each day out on the boat. We did experience some very strong current, and weren't able to get to all the locations we had hoped to, but it was still wonderful. I had read some other reviews about the current and you definitely need to pay attention. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. They definitely help elevate the experience with their outstanding service. We loved SCYC so much we booked a return trip and are bringing our two teenage kids.

A small Bahamian village lies on the western shore, just a short walk south from the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.
