Bering Yacht’s new pocket explorer may be small, but that doesn’t make it any less mighty. The 77-footer, which has just been delivered after 18 months of construction, offers specs that belie her relatively small stature.

The B77 explorer, known as Veronika , was designed in-house for a family of thrill-seeking adventurers and can cruise the ocean nonstop for a total of 22 days. This is highly unusual for a vessel of such proportions and sets a new standard for the class.

Veronika ’s range is also on par with that of a much bigger boat. Fitted with a pair of Cummins QSM engines, she promises a top speed of 11 knots, a cruising speed of 8 knots and a range of some 4,000 nautical miles. This gives the vessel the ability to journey to all corners of the globe just like a large explorer.

Veronika promises to keep seafarers in the lap of luxury, too. She sports a sleek, steel hull and a 24-foot beam that results in a generous volume of 170 GT. Spread across three decks, the lavish interior can sleep a total of six guests plus four crew and features an elegant main saloon.

Geared around open-air entertaining, the vessel offers an inordinate amount of outdoor deck space along with a large alfresco dining table and the requisite sun lounges.

“ Veronika has been conceived as the perfect long-range voyager with enough power, supplies and entertainment for a family of intrepid travelers,” Bering said in a statement.

This is not the first pint-sized explorer the American outfit has released. Earlier this year, the shipyard unveiled a compact but capable 72-foot model fittingly dubbed the B72 , which was also designed for long-haul expeditions and can reportedly cover more than 5,000 nautical miles when cruising at 7 knots.

Veronika has now left Bering’s shipyard in Antalya, Turkey, and is en route to Australia.

Brief Specifications

Bering 77 is a very athletic and graceful long-range motor yacht. Bering 77 has CE class “A” certification under 24 meters and meet all requirments for this class of vessels.

Bering 77 displaces 364.000 lbs (165 mT) and shares the bulbous bow, hard chined hull sides, and twin gondola skeg underbody of her sister ships. Her bow is very high off the water and prominently features two large pocket anchors tucked into the gorgeous stainless steel backing grill. This impressive bow height translates into a dry ride and creates very tall interior proportions allowing for over 7″2′ (2 meters) headroom throughout.

Aloft Bering 77 features a full-beam flybridge great for entertaining with a solid hardtop that easily flows aft to a large boat deck for tender and crane storage. On the main deck level, the side decks run bow to stern on both sides. The raised cockpit aft includes an outside seating area. The saloon has a built-in outboard seating and a large dining table.

Going up a few steps, you arrive at the galley, from where you can go into the pilothouse.

The large interior volume lets each owner select the number of cabins and how they are laid out in a wide variety of choices.

The engine room is imposing with stacked generators and twin Cummins engines in the deep gondola skegs. There is a large sea chest forward on the centerline and the access capacity for servicing machinery is impressive.

Bering 77 has a range of over 4,000 miles at a cruising speed of 8 knots and can travel continuously for several weeks nonstop – letting her crew enjoy the journey while crossing the seas.

Lagoon 77 Catamaran Yacht – An Unbeatable Choice!

Launched in 2019, Lagoon Seventy7 is a refined 77-foot luxury catamaran that’s the newest and largest of its kind from the Lagoon yacht building powerhouse. Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prevost (VPLP) was behind the vessel’s charming exterior design while Nauta Design conceptualized its chic interior.

Seventy 7 features an ingenious design, incorporating free-flowing spaces from the salon to the aft deck with multiple simple yet stylish social and relaxation areas. The catamaran exudes a luxurious and graceful ambiance, both on the interior and exterior, which makes it a perfect toy for the most discerning vacationer.

A closer look at the various aspects of the Lagoon 77 Catamaran yacht will make you fall in love with it the more. Here is what the vessel has to offer:

Accommodation

Lagoon 77 has a total of four cabins: a Master Cabin (Owner’s Suite), 2 Double Cabins, and 1 Twin Cabin. There are 3 Double and 2 Single beds in these cabins, which can accommodate up to 8 guests in complete luxury. Each cabin is spacious and has an ample amount of natural light entering in.

Perhaps one of the most outstanding features of the vessel is the Owner’s Suite, which is located in the forward hull area. Measuring a cool 25 square meters, the cabin provides superb living space on 2 levels; on the deck and on the hull.

The cabin’s inside is furnished with a king-size bed, bookcase, storage area, desk, walk-in robe, and a sofa. There is also a sizable, well-lit, and spacious bathroom that’s at your disposal.

In addition, the Owner’s Suite is fitted with a hydraulic platform, which can be lowered to create a small private beach overlooking the sea and provides direct access to the water too.

For added convenience, the cabin has direct access to both the cockpit and foredeck as well as direct (and private) access to and from the saloon. What more can you ask for in terms of accommodation when cruising at sea?

The vessel’s interior is sublime with marble and precious wood decorations, thoughtful layouts, and extremely stylish fixtures. The saloon, which has companionways to the owner’s suite, maintains an open-plan layout and boasts neutral color palettes that create a relaxing ambiance.

Along the starboard side, there are two comfortable seating areas with the mizzen mast splitting the space and providing the much-needed shelving. The port side, on the other hand, houses a formal dining space that is highlighted by windows and aft sliding-glass doors.

Also, within the same saloon space, lies a bar with an assortment of drinks for parties and other occasions. Below the decks are 3 impressive cabins and a fully-equipped chef’s galley. So Lagoon 77’s interior is as organized and comfortable as it is conveniently accessible.

Just directly above the saloon is a large aft cockpit featuring an al fresco dining space with amply cushioned seating and a direct access platform to the transom and flybridge.

At the flybridge, there is space where you can dine or recline; all while enjoying the stunning views of the sea and surrounding islands. The exterior also includes a forward Cockpit with informal lounge seating and an access point to the foredeck.

The cat’s extensive bow is fitted with trampolines, providing an ideal platform where you can stretch out and relax under the soothing sun. Lagoon 77 comes with a choice of 3 headsails but its striking golden mainsail is what makes it particularly enchanting even from a distance.

Performance

The seventy7 cat is equipped with a twin 180-hp engine, a 1600L (423 G) water tank, and a 2800 L (740 G) fuel tank. With that, you can hit maximum speeds with ease and sail quite consistently in all sea conditions.

While at sea, you can cruise at decent speeds of 11 knots per hour, which is sufficient enough to allow enjoy the caressing wind as you cruise on. It is also important to note that there’s a backup generator that is on standby whenever the power goes down.

Where Does It Sail?

Lagoon 77 is available for sailing in Croatia, with a variety of destinations to choose from. Sailing in summer with this vessel can particularly be convenient and fun. The preferred pick-up point for the Lagoon 77 is Marina Kastela and Split, Croatia. You can also be picked from ACI Dubrovnik if you feel that’s the most convenient point for you.

Why Charter Lagoon 77?

Chartering Lagoon 77 is, first and foremost, a golden opportunity to cruise at sea in full glamour. Just a quick run through the vessel’s features such as the cabins, saloon, and the interior & exterior layout paints a picture of utmost comfort, luxury, and convenience. If you love getting the adrenaline pumping, even just a little while at sea, then there are many watersports activities you can engage in while on Seventy7. WOW is all I can say. I have been investigating different options for chartering a catamaran for the Bahamas. We are getting a group together to just go out and enjoy the sun and play. This seems like an ideal option. So if we can only have 8, and if we do have 8 will that be comfortable still or would a smaller number in our group be better?

That sounds absolutely divine and the yacht is stunning. I am a sea lover and to charter this would be a dream. The owner’s suite is particularly impressive – sheet luxury. The prices are scary initially, but if you were to divide that between 8 people, still a lot, but not completely out of reach.

Do you know what the availability is like, does it get booked a long way in advance?

As you said, the Lagoon 77 is absolutely divine:) Yes, the price could be reduced significantly by sharing the boat with friends. The Lagoon 77 is already booked in June and part of July too. She is still available for the rest of the year, but bear in mind that catamarans are very popular and they are booked very quickly. If you want to make sure the boat will be available at your preferred date, then I would suggest you rent it at least six months in advance.

Catamarans are very fmiliar to me , being from the islands. But sheesh…never seen one with an interior like this!!!! Talk about a sweet ride! I now want to go to Croatia, just to go on this catamaran! Lol. I love the elegant cabins and the saloon looks so comfortable! After the summer in 2018 which was so hot, this would be the place to chill on holiday!

I also liked that it is rented with a crew! So what’s the damage to book this…I’m scared to look! And if ii is rented for a couple of days, where does the crew stay?

From solar skins to rooftop photovoltaic panels , naval architects have already devised a number of ingenious ways for yachts to generate power from the sun. Fabiani Yacht has one more bright solution, though.

From here, it is sent to the two electric motors, which enable the yacht to cruise sans emissions and noise for up to 16 hours at speeds of between 6 and 8 knots.

As a hybrid, the vessel is also equipped with twin 1,900 hp MAN V-12 diesel engines that allow it to reach a cruising speed of 25 knots and top speed of 29 knots.

Fabiani says the 77-footer has the same length beam as the larger 100-foot model the yard is building. Spanning 22 feet across, the hull will ensure more stability and space than other narrower designs. Onboard, the customizable interior is available with three or four guest cabins and one crew cabin. It also offers a large main saloon, a galley, a day head and a glass staircase leading up to the flybridge.

Speaking of the flybridge, it comes fitted with a dining table, chairs and sun loungers. Elsewhere, the foredeck sports sofas and another table for alfresco entertaining. Another highlight is the aft platform: It can be lowered 3 feet below the waterline or raised to sit flush with the flybridge for easy access.

Work on the first Wedgeline Hybrid 77 hull commenced in April and is due to wrap up in summer 2023.
